- Our Story
The original colours of navy blue, sky blue and white would represent the club until 2003, where a black, silver and white combination that still exists today were introduced.
Leading into the new century, Woodville Basketball would move away from its school based operations and become an independent, growing entity standing on its own two feet.
Inside the 12 month period of 2002 into 2003, the club experienced its first large increase in team numbers, doubling in size from 8 teams to 16.
Over the next decade, the Woodville Basketball Club would experience strong and frequent growth as team numbers went passing through the 20s, into the 30s and peaking at 39 teams in 2011.
Along the way, Woodville would ring in a number of firsts for the Werribee (Wyndham) Basketball Association. In 2005, the club would be the first club to host its own website, whilst in 2015 Woodville would become the first club to introduce a reversible uniform. Two major changes that by todays standards, seem almost mandatory.
A club very rich in history, Woodville migrated to a 5 pin striped uniform in 2010, and moved into the world of sublimated uniforms in 2014 by introducing a 10 stripe uniform that still exists today.
Wherever the next 30 years takes us, we’ll be there to provide support and foster the talents of the next generation.
